Sales / Business DevelopmentSydney, Australia (Hybrid)Full-timeHybrid
About the role
As Sales Director for Construction & Trades at Webhouse, you'll own new business for our Construction segment in Australia. You'll sell custom software, AI automation, and our four-week Operational Audit to owners, managing directors, and operations leads at construction, trades, and built-environment businesses doing $5m to $50m in revenue. This is a hunter role with real ownership, a clear ICP, packaged offers, and a delivery team that ships.
What you'll do
- Own the Construction & Trades segment end-to-end: build the pipeline, run the sales process, and close new business.
- Originate opportunities outbound through your network, targeted outreach, industry events, and partner channels.
- Qualify, scope, and shape engagements alongside our delivery and solutions team, from first conversation through to signed agreement.
- Run discovery, present tailored solutions, and pitch our four-week Operational Audit as the first commercial step with new accounts.
- Negotiate commercials, manage procurement, and close deals at deal sizes ranging from $9k audits to $250k+ build engagements.
- Maintain a clean, accurate CRM and a forecast that the leadership team can trust.
- Feed market intelligence back into our positioning, packaging, and pricing so our offer keeps getting sharper.
What we're looking for
- 5+ years selling technology, professional services, or operational software into the Construction sector in Australia.
- Proven track record consistently hitting or exceeding $1m+ annual quotas with complex, consultative deals.
- Hunter mentality: comfortable originating pipeline, not just managing inbound.
- Confident running multi-stakeholder sales cycles with owners, CFOs, and operations leaders.
- Excellent written and verbal English, with the ability to write a clean, persuasive proposal.
- Permanent right to work in Australia and able to attend the Parramatta office two to three days per week.
- Strong understanding of construction operations: estimating, project management, scheduling, site delivery, compliance, and back-office finance.
- Familiarity with the platforms operators already use, including Procore, Buildxact, Simpro, Aroflo, ServiceM8, Xero, and Microsoft 365.
- Awareness of the operational pain points around quoting, variations, subcontractor management, WHS, and cashflow.
Nice to have
- Existing network of operators and decision makers in the segment.
- Experience selling consultative, custom-scoped engagements rather than off-the-shelf SaaS.
- Prior experience inside an agency, consultancy, or systems integrator.
What we offer
- Competitive base salary plus performance bonuses, reviewed every six months
- Flexible hours and a results-driven culture, not a clock-in culture
- Generous paid time off plus all Australian public holidays
- Annual learning and development budget for courses, certifications, and conferences
- Top-tier hardware and software stack of your choice
- Modern Parramatta office with team lunches, off-sites, and quarterly socials
- Clear career progression with twice-yearly performance and growth reviews
- Direct access to the founder and a seat at the table on company strategy
